The LLC application, in Crown
An application built for the LLC
IRA-owned and business LLCs, each with the right application path.
Today
Your deposit form was built for a person, so someone picks a product for the LLC and re-keys the entity into fields that do not fit it.
With Crown
LLC is its own choice. One question, is this LLC owned by an IRA, sets the banking product for the rest of the application.
- LLC (IRA-owned)
- Business LLC
- Bank-branded journey
Ownership and authority, in one application
Owners, signing authority and the corporate resolution stay on the same record.
Today
Beneficial ownership goes on a separate form and gets typed in later. The corporate resolution is a document someone has to remember to ask for.
With Crown
Both are steps in the same application, on exactly the accounts your bank requires them for. The signer is already on the record as an owner.
- Beneficial ownership
- Corporate resolution
- Managers who can sign
Formation documents, collected and checked
The required formation documents arrive with the application.
Today
Articles of organization and the operating agreement arrive as attachments, land on somebody’s desktop, and get chased when a page is missing.
With Crown
Both are steps in the customer’s journey: uploaded once, checked for content before your team opens them, filed against the application.
- Articles of Organization
- Operating Agreement
- Checked on upload
The entity and its people, verified together
Business verification on the entity, identity verification on its people.
Today
Business verification runs in one place and identity verification in another, so somebody reconciles two sets of results before anyone can decide.
With Crown
KYB on the entity and KYC on its people run in one application, with OFAC sanctions and watchlist screening. Detailed findings stay with your bank.
- KYB on the entity
- KYC on its people
- OFAC screening
Open on your core under your rules
Your rules decide what opens automatically and what needs your team.
Today
The file is assembled, reviewed, then typed into the core again. Providers call to ask where it stands.
With Crown
You configure the rules. Applications that meet them can be approved and opened automatically on your bank’s configured core integration, and the rest go to your team.
Providers your bank permits follow the account without calling.
- Your opening rules
- Your core integration
- Bank-defined visibility
You should not need a different system for each account type.
Crown opens eleven application types. If the providers bringing you LLC business also bring IRAs, trusts or Solo 401(k) plans, those run on the same platform.

Questions banks ask about LLC accounts.
What the application collects, how accounts open, and what stays with your bank.
Does Crown handle IRA-owned LLCs, or only business LLCs?
Both, as separate application types. One question in the application decides which: is this LLC owned by an IRA? The answer sets the banking product used for the account, and both paths collect the same entity record, owners, managers and paperwork.
Can the LLC and the IRA that funds it be opened together?
Yes. A custodial IRA paired with LLC checking is a single application that opens both accounts and links the LLC back to the IRA. An LLC can also be linked to an IRA the customer already holds, in which case the primary signer and the program tier come from that IRA.
See how the paired IRA worksIs business verification part of the application?
Yes. KYB runs on the entity while KYC and identity risk checks run on its people, inside the same application rather than in a separate tool. Detailed findings are visible only to your bank.
Which documents does an LLC application collect?
Articles of organization and an operating agreement, both required, uploaded inside the journey and checked for content before they reach your team.
Can the provider firm that referred the customer help?
With the access your bank grants them. Providers can prepare customer information and permitted paperwork before handoff and follow progress afterwards. Identity documents and compliance findings stay with your bank.
